MPMHA is so excited that we are back on the ice and our hockey programs are a little more normal than the past two seasons.
As you are aware, on October 8 2021, the Government of NL announced that vaccination passports would be required for many public settings, including Arenas. The effective date is set for Friday, October 22, 2021.
We are so fortunate that we have a City Council that supports our activities, well being and our safety.
Effective Friday, October 22; all individuals, 12 years of age and older, MUST provide proof of vaccination (compatible with the NLVaxPass and NLVaxVerify apps) to enter the Glacier if they are in the following categories;
Team staff: Coaches, managers, volunteers
Parents, guardians, or family members accompanying minor hockey players inside the arena
Spectators for practices and/or games
Those who are participating (age 12-18) in the activity in the arena are EXEMPT from providing proof of vaccination. However, any other persons (12 & older) accompanying the player will be required to present proof of vaccination.
Upon entry, you will be asked to show your QR Code (NLVaxPass) as well as an acceptable ID. [One piece with photo, name and birthdate, or two pieces with name and birthdate).
As an association we are so grateful for our membership and thank you so much for bearing with the challenges we have faced over the past two seasons.
